Sylvain Bourque is a Transport Canada civil aviation safety Inspector assigned to the national RPAS Task force, working on the new Drone regulation. He holds a commercial pilot licence and a Class 1 glider instructor rating.
He studied electrical engineering, with a specialization in telecommunications as well as in computers and automation.
He just retired from CBC/Radio-Canada after 33 years. He worked as a production current affairs videographer/DOP and also as a trainer/supervising technician.
For the last 4 years, he was CBC/Radio-Canada national UAS chief pilot and commercial drone pilot. He has a good drone operation experience and also a news gathering experience.
